Installing NGAI R55 on Solaris 9

Hi, I am a newbie on CP installation and I encountered some problem when doing the installation.

- I have installed Solaris 9 and required patches according to CP documentation
- Solaris 9 hardening had also been done according to CP documentation

When I do the installation, following error occured:_
/tmp/installHFaW_b/checkinstallJFaW_b: /opt/CPInstLog/install_fw1_R55.elg: cannot create

**********************ERROR*********************** ****************************************

The installation application has detected that you do not have
Check Point SVN Foundation NG with Application Intelligence (R55) installed.
In order to install VPN-1 Pro NG with Application Intelligence (R55) you must first
install Check Point SVN Foundation NG with Application Intelligence (R55) .
Installation Aborted.

Therefore I tried manually installed the package, pkginfo also shown that the package was installed successfully:_

# pkginfo | grep CP
application CPshrd-R55 Check Point SVN Foundation NG with Application Intelligence (R55)

But the problem still persist when I try to do the installation again. The same problem prompted no matter I use the "UnixInstallScript" or manually install the package using pkgadd. Does anyone encounter such problem before? Thanks.

I've run into this problem many times in the past.

You have solaris 9 with patches that CP does not not
like. When you install solaris 9, the CD you use, it has
a year listed on there. Furthermore, the solaris 9
cluster patch that you upgraded the box, you need to
know what it has and many times, it breaks CP in the
process.

Search CP knowledgebase and you will be to fix this
problem.

Thanks cciesec2006, the problem has been resolved. It was related to Sun Solaris patch 113713-21, I used latest patch 113713-25 and the problem is fixed. Thanks man!!!

I got same problem and would like to know how did you solve your problem. 113713-25 is installed so did you remove it?

Please advise.
