I only wanted to know. Are these still installed? Because we are going to change all of our NSFs against Nokia IP Series. We have had a lot of problems with the NSF.

    Kind regards

We have had two probs with the NSF.

The first was the vrrp issue. The backup firewall was sometimes using the vrrp ip and mac for sending log messages. If this is happen all traffic is passing the backup firewall and checkpoint drops it. After the master firewalls sends one packet with the correct information the switches/routers relearning the ip/mac info and it works again. After some time it happend again.

The second is that sometimes the nsf hosts are crashing without any idea what the issue is. This happens every 1-2 months normally only one but sometimes both at the same time.

Did you had no trouble with the nsf?
