    We can have R77 and other firewall in R80 MDS..
    Can we have R77 MDS and gateway running on R80
    do we have gateway on R80 ?

    No you cannot

    Generally speaking your Management should be on the same or later version then your gateway.

    There maybe some exceptions, for instance you can manage R80.20 gateways from an R80.10 management ( believe needs a patch )
    However the gateway will act as if is an R80.10 and none of the R80.20 specific features are available.

    Same with the R75.40, .45,.46 and .47 for example.

    You could have an R80 SmartEvent with an R77.30 management but in general management upgrade first to the new version then put the gateways in on that version.
