Tim Hall has done it again! He has just released the 2nd edition of "Max Power".
Rather than get into details here, I urge you to check out this announcement post.
It's a massive upgrade, and well worth checking out. -E

    Default Has my Safe@ died

Safe@office 225 been sitting running perfectly for months now hasn't skipped a beat. Suddenly today no internet. The lights on the front panel are doing all kinds of odd things. Right now the lights for LAN 1 - 4 on both the speed and the link indicators are all pulsing together. Unit doesn't respond t anything and when plugging into a port there is o connection detected by windows.

I did a factory reset no change. I also noticed the power pack is quite hot. Not that hot you cant hold it but hotter than what you'd expect Any ideas or is it dead?

Further to the above I noted the system light is on and Red according to the manual indicating Boot failed or TFTP mode. Any idea if this might be terminal or how I can get it back into a running state?

My money is on the power supply giving out.
As the Safe@ appliances are no longer being sold or supported, your best bet is to find a power supply through a secondary source.

im guessing you mean the plug that goes into the power, didn't think these units had any internal power supplies. I have a universal power support i'll see if it will work.

The thing you plug into the wall is the power supply in this case :)
