CPUG Challenge 2018?? We will be holding another CPUG Challenge for 2018.
The plan is to time it around CPX again (earlier this year), but not necessarily limit it to those in attendance.
I'll provide more details as we get a bit closer, but be ready! -E

    Default cphastart error

when I do cphastart , I get this on ClusterXL

get_mac_magic_params_from_policy: failed to fetch cluster ID from policy file
fwha_read_boot_conf: failed to get MAC magic policy parameters.

Is this VSX or a normal cluster?

Does the file $FWDIR/boot/modules/fwkern.conf exist? If so, what does it contain?

In R80.10 new auto mac magic was introduced so fwkern.conf is no longer needed.

For reviewing the mac magic value run cpha mmagic

I guess, that if you have several cluster, which see each other, it is still better to set the magic byte - now done by GuiDBEdit.

What happen if you have multiple clusters residing on the same subnet? do you still have to modify the fwkern.conf or $FW_BOOT_DIR/ha_boot.conf or the mac magic is completely random now?

Why are you using this command in the first place? What are you trying to achieve?

In R80.10 you have to use GUIDBEdit to set the magic, if you don't want/cannot use the auto mode.
