Tim Hall has done it again! He has just released the 2nd edition of "Max Power".
Rather than get into details here, I urge you to check out this announcement post.
It's a massive upgrade, and well worth checking out. -E

    Default Update used 1180

Hi there. Just recently I have bought a CP 1180 for home lab environment.
Of course this appliance doesn't have a valid support contract and I cannot find its account administrator to transfer license to me.
So I am with a trial license. I don't mind because it's for lab, but I'd like to be updated. Is there any other way to upgrade 75.20 to the 77.40 release?
    Thanks.

In the UI for the device there should be an option to update the firmware to the latest release (Device > System > System Operations).
If that doesn't work, see if you can access the latest release from here (requires a User Center account, which is free, but may require a Software Subscription contract): https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com...ionid=sk114815
The third option is to ask your Check Point SE or reseller to assist.
