CPUG: The Check Point User Group

Resources for the Check Point Community, by the Check Point Community.

I'd like to thank everyone involved for making "The CPUG Challenge" a great success.
We helped a lot of people see and learn a bit more about R80.10, while having some fun.
We will be using this success to try and bring more events to more locations soon. -E

Default Stand alone to HA migration

    Hi,

I need to upgrade a single Checkpoint fw at AWS to an HA cluster. I found one article: sk69627. But this for Splat, and does have any help for the charming complications AWS adds in. Anyone know a better article that includes AWS?

    THX

Have you done a cluster in AWS before? sk104418 might be helpful. Granted this doesn't cover migrating from standalone to cluster but you might want to read it to make sure you want to do a cluster.

Your best approach would be to deployment new gateways in AWS versus trying to migrate an existing standalone gateway to a cluster.
There are cloudformation scripts available in sk104418 that do a large part of the work for you.
