Default R80.10 release on the way?

I know, we've already heard this too many times to count. But, I have it from a trusted source (here at CPX in Milan), that tomorrow is the day for R80.10 GA.

    We'll see... [holding breath]

LOL. I'm done talking/guessing/asking/answering about ETA's for a while - this one took too much out of me.

Pretty happy to see the features and release notes
Now I believe CP can fight very well with other contenders. Especially much awaited feature Route based VPN [ I am jumping to and eager to implement it]

Plus I read new features about Reverse Proxy [Thumbs UP]
Detect users located behind HTTP proxy using X-Forward-For header granularity per
Access Control Policy Layer. -=> Now this is more interesting does that mean for example I can put squid proxy and have X-Forward set to filter the traffic based on users?

I am just started evaluating the R80.10

Check Point have been talking about R80 for a loooong time now, and there is obviously a reason why it has been delayed.
No way I'm gonna run this in production in 2017.

R80 has been available for more than a year and has a significant install base.
R80.10 is a minor release from a management perspective and has numerous improvements in this area.
It's worth upgrading your management, even if you want to hold off upgrading your gateways.

Hmm Neon lights and all....you sure its the conference center you're at?

Kidding aside, too bad I had to skip CPX this year, would be nice to finally meet Phoneboy and Eric. (met Valeri in Amsterdam couple of years ago)

Who is the person in the middle, Phil Collins? Aren't you the UK superstar singer with lot of hits in the 80's and 90's? What did you do to all of your money now that you have to work for a living :-)

J/K Valeri. You do indeed look like Phil Collins, especially with the receding hairline :-)

LOL. "Can you feel it, coming in the air tonight..."

That picture is outside of the "after party" - illuminated (of course) in "Check Point Pink". You should have seen it inside.

My new role in Check Point suggests I might be at future European CPX events.
    Maybe next year.
