Default IPSO 6.2 MR6 now available in sk42645

For those of you who are still using IP Appliances, this is the latest release from of the IPSO Operating System, which includes some consolidated field fixes and a couple of security fixes.

It should be noted that IPSO has reached End of Engineering support, which means this is likely the last version that will be made available. TAC will still support IPSO until the End of Support date but anything requiring code fixes is likely to mean an upgrade to Gaia.

I admit I was surprised when I got an internal announcement a few weeks ago that a new version of IPSO was being released. :)

I still have a couple IP-560's in our ICS environment running IPSO 6.2. One has been up for 707 days, the other for 368 days.

These are scheduled to be replaced this year, I will be sad to see them leave.

I have a screenshot from 2010 that was circulating among the ex-Nokia people at Check Point showing an IP appliance running IPSO that had an uptime of 7+ years.
That's a bit long to go without a patch or an upgrade :)
