First, I hope you're all well and staying safe.
Second, I want to give a "heads up" that you should see more activity here shortly, and maybe a few cosmetic changes.
I'll post more details to the "Announcements" forum soon, so be on the lookout. -E

    Default management passwords are unknown

    Hi Team,

I have Management server running in R76 Gaia version. Unfortunately i lost all my passwords and old known backup. I found there is a procedure mentioned in "sk92663". But my only worry is what if the management doesn't come up post booting from Emergendisk.
    Is there any other workaround?

    Regrads,
    Ram T S

Its all just linux under the hood. If you don't want to use emergendisk then boot up whatever flavor of linux you want off a usb or cdrom, modify /etc/shadow (this is where the password hash is set) and then do a chattr +i /etc/shadow. This will prevent it from being changed. Reboot, login, enter expert chattr -i /etc/shadow and then fix the pssword via clish.

If you're worried about doing a clean shutdown plug in a usb keyboard and see if doing a ctrl-alt-del will start the reboot process. Can't say it will for sure.

Here is a thread on doing it the linux way with a few different options.
