Default New Recommended JHF for R77.30: Take 185

    sk106162
    Available via CPUSE for installation

Should be noted that this hotfix is NOT available for Legacy CLI installation, only through CPUSE.
Current builds of CPUSE Agent (build 1127 and later) can upgrade over and manipulate previous hotfixes installed via CLI.

just installed take 159 to activate tomorrow morning on a clustermember, now I was checking in the GUI, still saying tkae 159.
Checked on the CLI and started the download where it finally stated it was take 185, so it is now installing this one. Will be activating this clustermember tomorrow morning (in about 8 hours).

Yes, Take 185 is a GA take.
Take 189 is considered an "ongoing" take which has not received a full QA cycle.

Oh, interesting. Check Point "forgets" it has VSX product, where WebUI is suppressed after VSX provisioning. Which makes impossible to install this Jumbo, even though CPUSE offline.

By the way, you still need to
    1. Put offline package onto the machine
    2. Register that on CLI

My main complaint is that heavily relying on CPUSE, check point makes patching much more cumbersome for any enterprise customer. Firstly, not every FW can call to internet to get both latest CPUSE and packages.

And VSX patching through CPUSE cli demands several additional steps to perform.

    No matter, just venting

I am aiming on putting up to date a cluster currently running:
    fw ver
This is Check Point's software version R77.20 - Build 221

Is this jumbo hotfix enough to reach R77.30 or I need first to update to R77.30 using another package and then apply the jumbo?

    Thanks!

You have to upgrade to R77.30 first.
