Default IP350 latest IPSO and GAIA version support

    Hi everyone,

want to have a IPSO based checkpoint for my lab, what would be the latest versions IPSO and GAIA I could use on an IP350?

Would I have to get IP390's to get the latest versions?

    Cheers

The IP35-0 doesn't support anything beyond R65 (and likely IPSO 4.2).
The IP Series appliances are no longer sold new, so if you want to keep up with anything relevant (into the future as well), you are far better off getting a new appliance, rather than an IP Appliance.
But, if you NEED an IP Appliance, the IP390 can (technically) support Gaia and newer versions, but don't turn on any of the software blades, use the FW and VPN (if necessary).

IPSO is effectively dead now. R80 Gateway will only be Gaia as the OS.

Gaia on IP Appliances can be interesting to say the least ( code for I wouldn't do it ) Certainly that would be advice I would give. Did it once and put me off for life.

You will also want to make sure that have at least 2Gb in there, however you should be able to supply your own rather then pay the checkpoint level.

R77 upwards wants more then the 1Gb default fitted to the IP390's.

As others have said, the IP350 is not capable of running Gaia or current versions of code.
Unless you have a need to support similar vintage of IP Appliances, it's probably not worth having in your lab.
