Default Upgrading from R75.20 to R77.20 on firewalls and I don't want to reset SIC

    Hi,

I think this might be the right place to discuss this.

I want to upgrade from R75.20 to R77.20 on the firewalls and I don't want to reset SIC.

The manager is at R77.20 and the firewalls are currently R75.20.

What I want to do is forklift the firewalls and push policy without setting SIC.

Does anybody know what files you need to migrate to pull this off?

My predecessor figured out a way to do this - but he was long gone when I got to this position.

This helps in our disaster recovery drills - a manager configuration is imported - everything in DR is on older hardware - and policy pushes to the various firewalls work without setting SIC.

    Thanks...

    Mike.

Well if you are performing inplace upgrades then you don't need to reset SIC.

When you say "forklift" the firewalls then can you expand on what you mean.

Are you looking at doing a in-place upgrade, or looking at rebuilding the firewalls etc

migrating the config to another unit, ie doing a backup/restore
