Tim Hall has done it again! He has just released the 2nd edition of "Max Power".
Rather than get into details here, I urge you to check out this announcement post.
It's a massive upgrade, and well worth checking out. -E

    Default Upgrading to NGSE

To those who have done the upgrade, was it worth it? We are running standard R77.30 SmartEvent on 225 hardware. Were the performance increases drastic? Just looking to get a feel for how the upgrade went. At this point it looks like we will have to revert the image to the default NGSE, upgrade it, then upgrade again the the GA release. (Then upgrade again when R80 is released)

I had a customer that thought the increase in performance was pretty big, but at the time NGSE was still very rough around the edges. There were many less canned reports. R80 NGSE is in EA right now. I think you might be better off going that path vs moving to NGSE.

Thanks for the info, we were hoping for some performance increase and it seems like its there. The upgrade path is not the best at this point so I think we will wait until R80 is released. Hopefully there will be a more straightforward way of implementing it.

Just following up on this, the last time i looked at NGSE it was missing a lot of the reports the normal version had. I've been told that should be addressed at this point. Last time i looked at it was over a year ago. I think they've made some progress with this.

HA, that took me a moment. I will now correct spelling errors in shame.
