Default Check Point Virtual Edition Dead ?

Is Check Point Virtual Edition Dead?

Most recent version of VE with Hypervisor support was R75.40, and a review of the Docs for R75.45, R75.46, and R75.47 shows no mention of VE.

I can't find any VE hotfixes viewable by public or expert knowledgebase access.

Given that R77 has promised a Hypervisor mode version for 7 months and not delivered, I must conclude that Check Point's ability to deliver on Hypervisor mode has evaporated.

I know multiple organizations that have diligently paid their software subscription and received no updates, effectively tossing their money in a hole.

And Network Mode is a non-starter; the reason you buy a VE license is for Hypervisor mode.

There has been EA for R77.10 VE for at least 4-5 months. Never tested it though. But yeah, seems that interest in that product is kind of cold.
During all the years it was released I didn't actually come across single system in production.

Hypervisor Mode is supported only in:

R71 VE running on SecurePlatform OS
R75.20 VE running on SecurePlatform OS
R75.40 VE running on SecurePlatform OS
R77.10 VE running on Gaia OS (next planned version)

Network Mode is supported only in:

R71 VE running on SecurePlatform OS
R75.20 VE running on SecurePlatform OS
R75.40 VE running on Gaia OS
R77.10 VE running on Gaia OS (next planned version)

I have to say that haven't seen any download for an R77.10 VE, and when install R77.10 into VMWare then doesn't ask about what mode want to install in so just installs in Network Mode effectively using the normal ISO. It also doesn't mention anything about R77 and Network Mode which as far as I am aware is supported in Network Mode.

As such not too sure what it means where talks about R77.10 VE, is this somthing supposed to be folded into the regular ISO like VSX has become or is it still a seperate ( and as of yet unreleased ) download
