    Hi,
i have an issue which i don't know how to inspect (the support only suggest to upgrade)
trying to sync the primary mgmt servef and a new secondary ("Never Synced" state) the smartdashboard shows the error message

Failed to Synchronize - Unexpected Failure

    i'm using 75.45 version
has anyone already experienced this issue?

A lot depends upon your network topology and platform

1.) Are your Smart Centers on the same IP Subnet
2.) If they are on different subnets then what devices are between them - are there firewalls that need updating policy wise to allow the traffic
3.) What Platform are they on - OpenServer SecurePlatform, Smart-1 Appliance etc
4.) Have the two SmartCenters had the same build process ie is your Primary R75.47 SmartCenter a straight to R75.47 build or was it upgraded. Did the Secondary follow the same build process, hotfixes etc.
If the Build Versions and Hotfixes etc are different then they won't establish a synchronisation.

    Should be on same OS
Must have identical Check Point versions
    Must have identical hotfixes installed
Must have identical products installed (i.e, Management HA is not supported between a StandAlone machine and Securtiy Management Server machine)

    thanks for your support mcnallym.
the servers are on different subnets but there isn't any connectivity issues.
The platform is OpenServer SecurePlatform; when we have installed the new one management we applied the same hotfixes installed on the primary but i'm not sure that are perfectly alligned.
    i have checked issuing
    grep -i HOTFIX $CPDIR/registry/HKLM_registry.*
but i haven't found any differences for hotfixes.
have i to search on different files?

OK, as they are OpenServer SecurePlatform then cannot install straight to R75.47.

What was the origional SPLAT for the Primary that was upgraded too, and what was the Secondary Server built as.

Had a case recently where had

R75.40 Primary that had been an in place upgrade. Secondary had been clean built to R75.40. Had to Export the Primary out and then clean build to R75.40 and then import the Primary back into the box so that the build process on both was identical before would synch.

Yes Mgmt HA can be that picky
