    Default No Consolidation Tab in SmartReporter

    Hello!
    I'd like to try to use SmartReporter to get some basic reports for our executives. I'm using R76 versions of everything (GAIA on the firewall, R76 SmartDashboard, etc.), and I've read all of the installation guides, forum posts, and as many internet entries as I can find, and nothing seems to discuss my problem at all. I've checked the SmartReporter blade checkbox on our management server and saved the config. I've restarted all of the event services and checked the event reporting setup in Expert mode on the management server to no avail. Finally, I've checked the SmartReporter Consolidation Rules in the SmartDashboard, but they all seem to be stock. Here's what's happening:

    When I open SmartReporter from within SmartDashboard, there are seven tabs initially, including "Consolidation" and "Database Maintenance." However, once SmartReporter finishes loading, the "Consolidation" and "Database Maintenance" tabs go away, and I'm left with five tabs related to running reports. According to all of the reading I've done, Consolidation needs to happen before any reports can be ran (which is obviously the case since all of my reports fail due to a database error- likely because there's nothing in it). I just can't figure out how to either 1) get the Consolidation tab to stay so that I can setup and run Consolidation, or 2) run Consolidation outside of the GUI. All of the documentation is apparently written for an earlier version (even the R76 documentation) because it says "To start the Log Consolidation Engine, go to the Management section of the toolbar and select the Consolidation button." I'm not sure if they consider the toolbar itself to be the "Management section" or what, because even upon initial open the Consolidation tab is there among the other tabs, not segregated into a different section. There doesn't seem to be any other place within SmartReporter that references Consolidation.

    Any help at all with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Probably you do not have correlaion unit on you system.

    Provide us with your output for *evconfig* command

    Example (SmartEVentia Intro (IPS only) and Smart Reporter on the same HP server )
    [Expert@]# evconfig
    Please select the installation you would like to update
    1) SmartReporter. (enabled, select to disable)
    2) SmartEvent Server. (disabled, select to enable)
    3) SmartEvent Correlation Unit. (disabled, select to enable)
    4) SmartEvent Intro. (enabled, select to disable)
    5) SmartEvent Intro Correlation Unit. (enabled, select to disable)

    6) Save and exit.
    7) Exit without saving.

    I have tried enabling and disabling each of these items individually and in groups to no avail...

    Symptoms

    Standard Reports tab and Consolidation icon missing in Eventia Reporter.
    Even after user verifies that Eventia Reporter is enabled, issue persists.


    Cause

    Eventia Reporter is not licensed.


    Solution

    These features are not available if the proper licenses are not applied. For licensing details, refer to the Eventia Reporter Administration Guide Version R70.
