    What is the difference between Node/Gateway and Checkpoint/Gateway?? When should I use each???

    1 is used to define gateways with Check Point installed on them, the second is used to define gateways such as routers that may have multiple interfaces to save defining multiple nodes, which don't have Check Point installed on them.

    From that then I take it you can work out when to use a Check Point Gateway and when to use a non-Check Point Gateway.
