We are working on better portable application support. What apps in particular are you trying to package?

Dreamed situation for me would be:
Citrix XenApp Client - portable and independent from hosted system
Outlook/Lotus - with datastore on abra

and some web browser but now i can run firefox made via portableapps.

I have had similar results when packaging things with the VMware ThinApp product. For now we stick with RDP for virtual desktop access where we can, Thunderbird for email and Firefox for web. The last two I take from PortableApps.com and deploy to users once they have setup their secure workspace. For RDP I have just taken the two files from Windows and added them into the secure workspace as well.

The next version of Abra is slated to be a lot better with portable applications, but we have not had an EA yet to know what this will entail. I understand this should include Citrix and VMware client support though.

These are popular requests. Outlook is particularly tricky to do. Stuff from portableapps.com tends to work pretty well.
