The waiting period between the CCSA & CCSE exams is no longer required.

When I passed CCSA R70 in July 2010, and was trying to register for CCSE, PearsonVUE did not allow me to schedule the exam - I got notified that I must wait 6 months due to Checkpoint requirements. So I've been waiting and have to revise all the stuff to prepare again now.

I've been working with checkpoint for a couple of years (including P-1 and VSX). But we don't use VPN and many other features so I must prepare at home anyway (VMware). I invested my time in a couple of weeks of lab activities last year and have to setup the lab again now.

BTW: Is CCSE.70 exam similar to CCSA.70 in terms of questions detail level? What's your general experiense on which exam was a bigger challenge? I got 78% on my CCSA and I would say it was not trivial. I had questions on different NAT modes with tcpdump output to analyse etc. Lots of command line questions. Very close to real world, verifying the actual experience - that was my impression. So I'm now concerned a bit if I pass CCSE, though I read most of the documentation and practice a lot.

Passed CCSE.70 today - 84%. Found at least 2 questions with more than one correct answer...

Anyone knows how do I get access to these benefits:

"Certified Professionals community, newsletter and special web access"

    thanks

    Hi Piotr,

    Congrats on ur success.

What's ur general observation on the exam? Is it as tough as d CCSA? I'm about to start preparing for it and should take it in two weeks time. Any advice from you will be appreciated.

    Thanks.
