First, I hope you're all well and staying safe.
Second, I want to give a "heads up" that you should see more activity here shortly, and maybe a few cosmetic changes.
I'll post more details to the "Announcements" forum soon, so be on the lookout. -E

Default Email secured by Check Point

Hello All, I recently fired up a new R70 installation on splat and enabled anti-virus scanning on SMTP mail. Once I did that every incoming message now has "Email secured by Check Point" appended to the end of it. Does anyone know how to turn that off? Thanks.

    Bob.

    Never mind. I found it.

Edit $FWDIR/conf/antispam.C on the management server. About 15 lines down you will see this line:

    :add_disclaimer (true)

    Change it to:

    :add_disclaimer (false)

    Push policy.

This can also be done in Dashboard by going to the Anti-Spam and Email tab, choosing advanced > disclaimer on the left menu. You can customize the text as well as enable or disable it altogether.

A lot of my emails include the message, "Email secured by Check Point" and then the entire body of the email is nothing but code, and no part of the original email is visible.
