Tim Hall has done it again! He has just released the 2nd edition of "Max Power".
Rather than get into details here, I urge you to check out this announcement post.
It's a massive upgrade, and well worth checking out. -E

Default Max number of loopback interfaces

Does anyone know the max number of loopback interfaces you can create on IPSO 6.2?

Is this a trick question? Who are you and what have you done with the real chillyjim? I don't think I've ever seen chillyjim "ask" a question - he normally answers them.

Whilst this document is completely the wrong platform, there might be some key words in there that might point you in the right direction to finding the correct answer. It looks like around 2147483647 in the Cisco world given enough resources to drive them.

:) This is one I haven't been able to find anywhere!

I know the BSD limit is 254, but I knot know if that holds true for IPSO.

Ah - well that was the angle I was going for - trying to find the limit for BSD when I came across the cisco post.

I would have thought if it has been changed from raw BSD to IPSO you should have that info in the internal documentation that you hopefully got as part of the Nokia aquisition?
