Delete user objects on Solaris Platform

Hi,All.

I'm managing SmartCenter Server(NGX R65) on Solaris10.
I tried to delete users objects by SmartDashboad. But I could not delete that, and popped up massage
"Failed to remove object [user name]
Server error is: Failed to remove references object [user name] (Code 0x800415A4.Object Deletion Failed)

Please contact technical support."

I copied that policy by upgrade_export , and upgrade_import on Solaris8 and SecurePlatform.

Solaris8: Same error occurred.
SecurePlatform: No errors ,I could delete user objects.

Is this a problem with Solaris only ?

I have exactly the same problem on a Windows 2000 SmartCenter platform...

On my side doing a upgrade_export then upgrade_import on a Windows 2003 platform
has fixed the issue but I cannot do this on the production...

Have you find a solution?

I encountered something like this a couple of years ago.

I don't remember the exact details, but the general solution was to export both the user and usergroup database (fwm dbexport).

Then import it again using fwm dbimport.

And in one case fixing some bad group/user reference in the exported text file before importing.

Note that this zaps the original user db on import, so do a backup first, and it may also cause a bit of problems where the users/grouos are referenced in the rulebase or similar, do check that afterwards. And you did do a backup? :)

Actually my problem was a bit different than chikidai one...

My error message was:

And doing a "Where used" on this node showed a previously deleted policy!!!

So I have recreated a policy with the same name than the previously deleted one and the
node deletion worked fine... BUT when I have tried to delete the policy that was impossible!
No error message but when I reopened the policy package window the policy was still
here...

I have been forced to do what I told before, upgrade_export, SmarCenter reinstallation, upgrade_import...
After that I have been able to delete the policy.

In the past I've used GuiDBEdit to resolve these sorts of issues. There was a corrupt reference in the user object.
