Tim Hall has done it again! He has just released the 2nd edition of "Max Power".
Rather than get into details here, I urge you to check out this announcement post.
It's a massive upgrade, and well worth checking out. -E

Default How do you ProxyARP on a Windows installation?

How does one go and configure ProxyARP on a Windows Machine?

arp -s could add the value temporarely but its not persistant.

I need to use MANUAL NAT for specific connections on a new Windows Server 2003 installation with NGX R65 HFA40

PS: I guess we could add additional IPs to the Ethernet interface but is this the way to proceed?

$FWDIR/conf/local.arp is your friend, and yes it works on Windows also even though this post is about SPLAT.

Adding the IP to the interface does work, and I have seen people do it that way on a Windows Firewall, as I was ripping them out to replace with SPLAT boxes.

It will work just as well as modifying local.arp files, and is probably easier and quicker to do, then finding the file, opening up saving etc.

There used to be a utility called fwparp.exe, but that was back in FP3 days
