This position can be based in several major cities across the country. Base pay will be in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 based on skills and experience.

Description:

Playing a key role in the success of solutions deployment, the Professional Services/Security Engineer will possess the technical skill set to establish and maintain a deployment project from initial assessment to providing insight to best practices. The PSE will have an active role in establishing a positive relationship with the customer as well as associated account teams. In addition, the qualified candidate will play a leadership role in developing junior-level Professional Service Engineers. This is a stimulating and gratifying position that will allow the qualified candidate to cultivate new skills in leadership as well as in the security and content acceleration domains. Up to 50% travel may be required.


Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to assess the requirements of the company’s deployment solution
• Plan network and security design for deployment strategy
• Provide configuration and installation support
• Optimize and provide best practices for a deployed solution
• Provide training on company products when necessary
• Conduct functional testing of new security/network products
• Provide customer related feedback and lessons learned
• Create project summary documentation for white papers and tech briefs
• Assist Sales and Marketing with deployment strategies


Required Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience in installation, configuration and support roles with expertise in security features, content delivery, firewalls, switching and routing.
• Thorough understanding of networking and security technologies
• Practical knowledge of proxy deployments
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, Cookies, Authentication, Web Filters, virus scanning, web servers, SSL/encryption and reporting packages
• Understand transparent deployments using redirection devices or WCCP
• Ability to understand traffic flow at packet level traces
• Must be highly organized and possess excellent verbal/written communication, time management and presentation skills
• Customer oriented
• Ability to learn and think creatively to incorporate new integration solutions
• Ability to travel for onsite customer engagements both domestic and international
• BA/BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
