TEKsystems, the largest IT Staffing and Services company in the US, is in need of a Checkpoint Firewall Engineer to sit on site of one of our major financial clients in Charlotte, NC. Below is a brief job description, please private message me if you are interested.


Information Security Engineer – Certification Team
The role of this position will be to formally test and certify the CheckPoint Gaia network security product in a controlled lab environment. The position will work directly with architects, engineers, and vendors to complete deliverables with aggressive timelines. The position is a highly technical position that requires significant technology expertise to perform daily job functions.

In addition to knowledge of network security products, the candidate should have knowledge in areas that include: networking (routing, switching, design), Linux systems administration, systems management, application administration, cyber threat mitigation.

Required:
•7+ years of experience in the installation, testing, maintenance and integration of security solutions.
•Strong background in network and/or network security systems, including strong familiarity with CheckPoint enterprise firewall security products (secure platform R70 or newer).
•Strong working knowledge of CheckPoint secure platform CLI (and Linux)
•Significant experience developing and documenting statements of work, test plans, and operational documentation.
•Experience managing issue cases with vendors
•Significant experience with troubleshooting issues
•Expert knowledge and experience in the use of TCP/IP-based network protocols and applications.
•Knowledge and significant experience in the areas of IP routing and switching.
•Significant experience with enterprise networks

Preferred:
•CheckPoint Gaia
•IPv6
•Significant experience gathering and documenting requirements.
•Strong familiarity with network testing techniques and solutions.
•Experience with network testing tools (e.g. Breaking Point, Ixia, etc.)
•Checkpoint IPS blade
