Veris Associates is an IT Consulting Firm which provides services in three practices: Governance/IT Service Management, Technical Projects, and Training. Veris is an accredited training provider for ITIL and other best practices. We are seeking an experienced Check Point Firewall Admin for a client located in North Wales, PA (About 20 miles north of Philadelphia). This would be a long term contract position. Position Description
The Firewall Administrator will serve in an operation role with the network support group and will be identifying and troubleshooting network firewall and security issues.

Firewall Administrator will be responsible for operational tasks supporting high availability, rapid recovery and restoration of service. Operational Tasks include:
- Monitoring firewall performance to maximize service availability
- Tracking and logging and troubleshooting performance issues and incidents
- Implementing Push Policy
- Adding and opening ports
Administrator will need to be proficient enforcing firewall rules and policies.
Analyze and ensure the resolution of technical and client problems while providing quality customer service.
Evaluate and develop network/operational solutions to fulfill business requirements.
Assist with the resolution and recovery efforts of cross-functional technicians and troubleshoot issues reported by proactive alarming or problem notifications reported by end-users.
Must have the ability to multitask: trouble resolution of several devices while providing status on the phone and documenting tickets

Must have Check Point Firewall Administrative experience
CCSA (Check Point Certified System Administrator) preferred
Other security administration experience with the following vendor platforms are a plus such as: Juniper, RSA, Blue Coat
Good inter-personal skills lively and enthusiastic personality. Customer facing & service oriented approach.
Willingness and enthusiasm to master new software products and releases
Good Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to converse will all levels of an organization
1-3 years of experience is required
