By default Checkpoint offers to perform the initial configuration of the UTM-1 via Web-Interface.
For that reason the UTM-1 appliances ships with the IP address 192.168.1.1/24 on its internal interface.

In the old UTM-1 appliances, we just need to create a file /opt/spwm/conf/wizard_accepted.
Afterwards the appliance can be configured using the commands sysconfig and cpconfig.

Does any one knows of a method that allow us to perform the initial configuration using the CLI for the 2012 models ?

I can confirm that "touch /opt/spwm/conf/wizard_accepted" works on the 2012 appliances with SPLAT.

And if you are running GAiA you can do a full configuration from expert mode using "config_system"
