Hi All

I have some question as reagrds UTM-1 Appliances.

from brief reading it is an appliances runing NGX Splat.

can be configured using the setup wizard or console sysconfig?

can the appliance be a managment module or gateway?

if so can ClusterXL run on the appliances in a distribution deign?

thank you

The UTM-1 Appliances come with a license that covers the management and gateway parts of Check Point.

You can select to install, as a

Gateway
Management Server (but would be better buying a SMART-1)
Gateway and Management.

Yes you can run a pair of devices as a Cluster with ClusterXL.

You can also uniquely run a pair of UTM-1 Appliances in a Cluster and have Management HA on the Cluster.

This is unique to the appliances and is not supported in UTM on an OpenServer installation.

Actually the UTM-1 uses a web-based First time config wizard, which is largely similar to the SPLAT web-based config. CLI config with sysconfig is only supported post the initial install.
