If I was to make regular changes to the password on the physical ngx gateway boxes would this have an effect of the running of the firewall? – Meaning would I need to reboot the physical device each time, or would it quite happily accept the password change? Also this may be a stupid question but if it was a cluster environment are there any issues with passwords being different of each of the gateways and on the cluster itself? Thanks in advance!

No, assuming you are asking about the 'admin' password. Also, don't forget to change the Expert mode password as well if you are running SPLAT. __________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1

I'm asking about the password for the physical box itself (windows login). I want to avoid rebooting them.

Passwords on the OS are not related to CP services, just local access to the box. It is safe to change the password on your Windows server. __________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1
