| We are planing to sell the business module to the customer, who is service provider. Using VSX as Firewall & VPN, and subscription-based additional value-add service, like AV & content filtering to the subscriber of the SP. How the network infrastructure would be? where should I place this 3rd party solution? any ideas would be appreciated. |

| My understanding is that you cannot use URL filtering with R65 VSX. It is not licensed and HFA01 removes it from the release. No idea on the AV. I think you can do AV on the GW. Redirecting web traffic would have to be done before the gateway, you would need an internal routing domain or something like wccp/pac files to forward the web traffic to a third party filter. | if u are looking for a virtual system solutions with support for individual support for anti-virus-anti-virus ,web-filtering and ips integrated without requireing 2rd party vendors. go for fortinet they are best ones in the market for that . most of the MSSP who are using virtual systems for managed customers are going for fortinet only. they are best in the market in the MSSP segment. belgium telecom, swiss operator ,NTT europe and many major mssp;s are using fortinet. try them out. the asic hardware is awesome throughput and less headaches of licensing like u have in checkpoint. best part all the features are integrated in it with a single license. regards sebastan |
