Default NGX R65 UTM vs Power Gateway

We are in the process of ordering software for the Solaris version of NGX R65. Can someone explain the difference between the R65 UTM Gateway and the R65 Power Gateway?

Thank you,
Bob

Default Re: NGX R65 UTM vs Power Gateway

UTM is Unified Threat Management
Power is Straight Firewall/VPN for High Performance.

UTM allows AV, URL Filtering, Message Filtering, consequently performance is lower as the box has more work to do and does not include the performance enhancements such as QoS and SecureXL.

Any particular reason why using Solaris as the Platform?

We have a lot of Solaris machines on hand. Our previous versions have all been Solaris and we feel comfortable with them.
