Has anyone here installed HFA02 on top of NGX R65 2.6 Kernel version?

Couldn't find anything in the release notes...

Just curious if anyone here tried it?

I would hope that it will not allow you do that install.

It's my understanding that R65 (2.6) already has HFA_02 as part of the Base package. R65 (2.6) will have it's own HFA train (much like R55P had it's own that was separate from R55).

Actually I just double checked

it mentions in the 2.6 SPLAT release notes that no HFA can be installed on it for the time being


However, I'm seeing this on a client's install right now:

It's a two-fold issue:

1. The 2.6 kernel has HFA02 built in.

2. If you try to install HFA02 for the 2.4 kernel on a box running the 2.6 kernel, it will run and screw everything up.

IMHO, just the fact that it WILL install is screwed... It's not really that hard to program in a pre-install version check.
