I would hope that it will not allow you do that install. It's my understanding that R65 (2.6) already has HFA_02 as part of the Base package. R65 (2.6) will have it's own HFA train (much like R55P had it's own that was separate from R55). __________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Actually I just double checked it mentions in the 2.6 SPLAT release notes that no HFA can be installed on it for the time being However, I'm seeing this on a client's install right now: [Expert@*********]# fw ver This is Check Point VPN-1(TM) & FireWall-1(R) NGX (R65) HFA_02, Hotfix 602 - Build 006 [Expert@*********]# uname -a Linux ****** 2.6.18-22cp #1 SMP Tue Oct 2 15:01:11 IST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

It's a two-fold issue: 1. The 2.6 kernel has HFA02 built in. 2. If you try to install HFA02 for the 2.4 kernel on a box running the 2.6 kernel, it will run and screw everything up. Ray

IMHO, just the fact that it WILL install is screwed... It's not really that hard to program in a pre-install version check. __________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1
