Default How do I configure external interface as a dynamic IP (DHCP)?

Im using VPN-1 UTM NGX R62 and wish to configure my gateways external interface from statically assigned to a dynamically assigned address via DHCP.

I recall a "dynamic address" checkbox beside the gateway IP in the general tab in the properties with R55 but this is not present in R62? Can anyone suggest how I could enable this in R62? Are there any limitations in functionality to configuring check point to become a "DAIP Gateway"? I cant find any detailed info in the doc bundle?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have just checked on an R62 and it does have the Dynamic Address tick box next to Get Address on the General Properties page.

I have however noticed that there is no option when using the wizard to create a new Check Point Gateway with a dynamic IP address.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The "Dynamic Address" checkbox is missing on my R62 gateway, this is the problem, im confused because I clearly recall the existence of this checkbox whenever R55 was in use...

Im guessing there must be some reason for the checkbox being asbent, perhaps it is not useable when certain gateway or policy configuration options are set? I dont know, im just guessing here...

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.
