Default pppoe SPLAT

hi guys,

Just wondering im having a few topo issues with the pppoe int on SPLAT(NGX). Basically I have a bridged modem with the pppoe being terminated on the splat box, the issue being the physical interface connecting the 2 is showing up in the tracker as the source interface of outbound traffic, which I believe is breaking a VPN im trying to setup (as the addressing on the physical int is priv).
I'm thinking i need to remove the physical ints addressing or something along those lines, is this possible?

Any ideas on how I can solve this?

Rgds, James

Removing the addressing from the physical interface worked.

Hi James,
I´m having the same problem, what do you remove the adressing, remove the private IP address from the PPPoE interface?? I would really apreciate your help as I am having big problems with inbound connections.
I have a DLINK Modem in bridge mode and a SPLAT NGX machine.

Thanks alot,
Paulo

I am also having pppoe issues. I cant even get windows wan miniport to authenticate when the checkpoint service is enabled for the network connection of the external interface. How do you get around this?

Ok I just learnt uncheckng the firewall 1 from the external interface, still allows the rules to work fine.
