Interface names on Windows An "SNMP Get" may return way more information than is needed on Windows machines. Your interface names should only contain alpha-numeric characters. On Windows, you should only have the first word of the name in there (e.g.
CpqNF31?) as returned by ipconfig /all.
On Windows 2000, most of the default interface names have spaces, which
FireWall?-1 does not like. Fortunately, you can rename them in Windows 2000. Go to Start-> Settings-> "Network And Dial-up Connections"-> Your interface, right-click on the interface, and rename it to something without spaces. Then you can use that name.
