It's more of a Check Point limitation than a Nokia limitation.

Check Point NGX (R60) supports 64 VLAN interfaces in cluster configuration and 256 virtual interfaces per physical in standalone configuration. The maximum number of interfaces supported (physical and virtual) is 1024 for NGX on IPSO 3.9.

My customer is running;

This is Check Point VPN-1(TM) & FireWall-1(R) NG with Application Intelligence (

R55) for IPSO 3.8 - Build 584

Any ideas on the limitations for those versions?

When he adds over 8 ip's on a physical nic he gets issues.

Cheers

Scott

Are you talking about Primary and secondary IP addresses? Why do you need more than 8 subnets on one phy interface?

FW-1 supports up to 63 physical interfaces and 8 IP addresses per interface. The maximum number of logical interfaces supported on one platform is 256.
