Default solaris 9 raid setup(with an installation of checkpoint on the primary disk)

hi,

the aim is to install another drive and make it a backup/resilience to the current drive which is already running check point.

i have tried the following command
raidctl -c c0t0d0 c0t1d0

and get the following error:
device does not support requested action

drive has been check to make sure it is detected (c0t1d0)

testing in a lab with check point r55 (manager and enforcer), as wanted to check if successfully executed what will happen (erasure of data, etc)

thanks

This may sound silly, but do you have a raid controller in the machine?

You could try other solaris apps like ufsdump / ufsrestore...
