| Hello Guys, I am running FP3 on Solaris 8 and intends to upgrade on same OS Version to NGX. Wondering if any one who has performed such an upgrade could share his experiances? Any recomendation on OS version? Needs any patching or anything? Many thanks Cheers Bdabral |

| Hi, You can use the pre-upgrade-verifier located on the NGX cd. Usage is described in the NGX Upgrade guide. And look in the release notes. I've done several upgrades (standalone, distributed and ClusterXL) on Solaris 9. Looking at the release notes you should not have any problem upgrading. In case you do have problems, reverting was never easier (one pkgrm does the job). Also make sure you have the latest recommended patch cluster from Sun. Regards and good luck Martijn The upgrade guide is really good, with nice steps to perform the actual upgrade in different environments. |
