Default Solaris 10 - Securing for NGX v61

All;

Sorry I am new to both Checkpoint and also to Solaris and I am having problems finding an updated document on how to secure Solaris 10 for Checkpoint... I was tasked to upgrade our Firewall to Solaris 10/NGX v61 on a Sun E450 box.... The last time it was upgraded by a consultant and the documentation that he left is lacking...

Could someone either post some links... Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks
MP

Hi MP,

Have a look at Sun's JASS toolkit - it should be a good place for you to start. Several templates for locking down a box, patch management, etc. You can find it at:

Good luck,

Thanks for the reply...

I actually downloaded the tool and was going to give it a try but I was worried that it may not lock down the server enough for a firewall setup...

I found 2 sites that were also pretty good and I was using the Osbourne book but I kept asking myself is there something else I needed to do...

Again thanks for the help...
