Since upgrading to NGX, all alerting via email has ceased. We used to be able to receive email alerts in all previous versions. We are running Solaris on the management station and Nokia for the enforcement modules. Has anyone had similar issues, and does anyone know of any resolutions.

this happened to me as well (I'm glad to know I'm not the only one). we've had email alerts on checkpoint ever since 4.1/FP3/NG/NGAI but since NGX they stopped. I've had a case open with Checkpoint for a couple of weeks now and they are trying to reproduce the problem but so far no fix. if we ever find out what is causing it I'll post the details.

Andy, We have had a ticket opened up with Checkpoint as well for at least a month now with now results. If we get resolution, I will post the results as well. Thanks for the reply!

the other symptom I've noticed are no 'System Monitor' alert events appearing in Smartview Tracker. I'm 99% certain it's a licencing issue as I built offline a duplicate of our management server. from the initial install you get 15 day evaluation licence (which enables all the features), and the Email Alert work fine. when I attach out management licence key and cpstop/cpstart it stops working. take it off, cpstop/cpstart it works again... they must have changed something in the NGX product where some kind of extra licence must be needed for system monitor ?
