Default Service names in SmartView Tracker not appearing

Hello,

After upgrading to NG AI (HFA 09) the service names do not appear anymore in the SmartView Tracker logs. We only see the port number associated to the service. It happens on all services, whether they exist in the database or not. I've tried creating new services but to no avail. It's only a minor issue because besides that, everything is working fine : functionality is not impaired in any manner.

All help is appreciated.

Cheers

Joe

Is it resolving the IP's to hostnames? Is the resolve button selected in Tracker?

Is the "Query > Resolve Services" option enabled? ;)

IP addresses are resolved correctly. The setting of Resolved Services option makes no difference in the output of the log entries.

cheers

First step, HFA17 is current for R55, start there.
Make sure you are running the latest R55 GUI.

Default Re: Service names in SmartView Tracker not appearing - Solved!

Hi all,

I finally got this to work accidentally : we installed the Eventia Reporter component (for distributed setups - R56) on the SmartCenter server and the problem automagically disappeared. Service names were appearing once more!
