| Hi all, does anyone have these two scripts available ? I would take a look but the download links are broken. thanks in advance kjk PS: If anyone can help to import the log-data into an Oracle DB I would appreciate for any hints ... |

| In newer versions you can export the logs direct into oracle. Take a look into the CheckPoint_R6x_CLI_UserGuide.pdf and search for log_export or oracle. I cannot confirm if this is working since I never done this. Quote:

| No, it doesn't work with the log_export-utility. At first it crashs with an error when it wants to register a .dll with a wrong name. Seems to be the first bug inside the compiled code of the util. After manual register the correct .dll it wrote a few lines into the database but then it crashes with the following error: COracleDBInsertOperation::Insert: Error >> OCIStmtSetPieceInfo failed: ORA-24307: invalid length for piece CLogExportManager::PutLogInTheDatabase: Error >> ILogExport_DBInsertOperation::Insert failed. CLogExportManager::LogRecordFetchedCB: Error >> PutLogInTheDatabase failed. An error occured in the record handler, ending session In fact, although this tool is from the newest release of SVN-Foundation it doesn't work either with 10g nor 8i Oracle client/database. Seems to be that CP doesn't like the idea that their customers push the log-data into an independed database ;o) Maybe, if we have the time to go for it we are trying to develop a small LEA-application for ourself to get the needed log-information. thanks for answers and help so far ... greets kjk |
