Default system stops generating log

I use Crossbeam X40 + Checkpoint Provider-1. My company has a problem:
System stops generating log and can't create a file log although I have sufficient disk space. However, after I reboot MLM, I can get log. The size of fw.log is about 3 GB but MLM can't perform logswitch.
I don't know why. If anyone has the same problem and you know the cause, please answer me.
