Probelms with New log server build - NGX R60 I am in the process of building a new log server that will replace the existing one. I installed CheckPoint NGX R60 on this Windows2003 based machine, chose the ‘log server’ option and it went through the prompts. Once it was completed I added the ‘license’ (I only have a 30 day evaluation license currently) and it took that and, then I added the username & password and then I added the GUI clients and the SIC. Once it finished it asked to be rebooted & I rebooted it. After it rebooted, I went to my Management Console & established the SIC and the trust was established. However, I am not able to ping or remote desktop to this machine anymore. From my machine I tried logging into the log server via SmartTracker, it established the fingerprint to the new SmartCenter Server {IP of my new log server} but comes up with the error saying that the is “no license found on the SmartCenter Server: {IP address}” and therefore, it does not connect. I think the OS hardening has disabled ping and remote desktop but how do I get that to work? I need to get this machine online up and running by COB on Monday. Need help fast. Thanks. __________________ Systems Engineer |
