Default Determining MAC Address

Is it possible to determine the MAC address associated with an IP address, using SmartView Tracker? There was a device generating blocked traffic against our firewall and has since been removed. We have a need to obtain the MAC address of the device and the firewall log is about the only thing we have to go on. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tracker doesn't record MAC addresses. Was it a local IP address that was doing this?

Default Re: Determining MAC Address

I was afraid of that. I kinda figured that it didn't record the MAC address. It was an internal IP address that had been trying to get to the internet. The computer, itself, is no longer on the local network. Our network administrator didn't have any luck tracking it through the routers, so they asked me if the MAC could be determined by the firewall. I figured that the answer was probably no. Thanks for the response!
