Monitoring NGX Gateway & EDGE Appliances

Our current infrastructure consists of -

1 NGX R65 Gateway
1 x clustered NGX R65 Gateway
Multiple EDGE appliances

My first question is will Smartview Monitor allow me to get detailed information about the EDGE appliances such as Top Ten talkers etc?

If so what licensing do I need in order to enable Smartview Monitor on all gateways and appliances?

No. UTM-1 Edges don't have a SmartView Monitor module. So you will just get basic information in SmartView Monitor about these appliances. Get an EVAL license for your firewall management and activate all SmartView Monitor options and history reports. Don't change the rules for your Edges from 'Log' to 'Accounting'. Check if that's what you would like to pay for.

If you want to buy it, get a SmartView Monitor license or directly use the opportunity to change to a SCPRO license (SmartCenter Pro, also includes SmartView Monitor).
