Does Smartview Monitor come bundled with NGX or does it require a separate license? I tried adding it by clicking on Smartview Monitor under my Gateway objects Check Point products category. When I tried to push the policy it failed with the message a license was required for Smartview Monitor.

There is a milliard of licensing options, bundles and addons with Checkpoint products. Consult you local CheckPoint representative (partner or vendor) for more information. Smart Monitor in not included to start-up and some advanced bundles. You can try it with a demo license (ask you local rep).

SmartView Monitor Tool is available even if no SmartView-Monitor/-Reporter License is purchased. But the information you'll get out of it is very "basic". You will get Alert-Pop-Ups from the Policy Rules and information about CPU- and Memory-Usage of your Firewalls. In order to get the whole bunch of information like "Top Ten Services", etc. you'll need to buy an extra license.

SmartView-Monitor/-Reporter License is cental and it should attach to SmartCenter, but SmartView Monitor checkbox is checked in properties of Enforcement module. If I don't mistake. May be problem with it.

For Enterprise it is CPMP-SSV-U-NG (Unlimited) or CPMP-SSV-500-NG (For gateways supporting upto 500 users) For Express it is CPXP-SSV-1-NG Includes Reporter. I cannot find the Monitor only license. Monitor is also included with SmartCenter Pro. -jlh

Hi, I'm using Check Point's SmartView Monitor & Reporter licenses and I think I made a mistake where I attached all the license to gateways instead to SmartCenter. As I understood, that these licenses should attached to SmartCenter. Am I right? Regards, Al
