Default SmartView Monitor history reports

Greetings everyone,

When we try to analyze any historical traffic-data such as top interfaces in SmartView Monitor via the predefined traffic reports, we receive the error "There is no data available for the specified time frame."
When we try to analyze historical System Counter data such as %CPU usage via the predefined reports, we receive "Data is currently beeing collected, the system, required 2 minutes to get initial results."

We are using NGX R65 HFA1 SPLAT Gateway Cluster, Windows R65 HFA1 SCS and HFA1 SmartConsole.
In the properties of the Cluster object at the SmartView Monitor pane, only the Check Point system counters check box is checked, so i guess at least the system historical data reports should be supposed to work, right?
Does anyone know what magnitude of the implied significant performance impact is to be expected when activating traffic reports?

Eventia Reporter is not really an option for us.

Thanks in advance.

Shameless bump, because I'm still interested in this topic.

I've run this on a number of customers, and haven't really noticed that large a CPU or memory spike... There used to be issues with memory leaks, but AFAIK these were resolved a log time ago (i.e. pre-NGX).

Has anyone had a contrary experience?

hey mkguy,

goto dashboard --> double click on gateway --> you can see smartview monitor option in the left --> click on them and select the options --> enable traffic connections and traffic throughput.

Push the policy and check whether you are able to see any reports.

Cheers,

Vinayak
