Smartview monitor - 1 gateway disconnected

I hope they have it fixed when 2.6 goes mainstream. Talking to our checkpoint reps I believe, if i recall correctly, that they are coming out with r70 in a couple months where 2.6 will be mainstream and the only kernel option i think.

2.6 is already mainstream and the only option on newer hardware to make HCL compliance. If I could still get HP DL380 G4s (p4 Xeon 3.8) for all of my sites, I would not be running 2.6 at any of them, I would continue to run 2.4 until they fix the multitude of issues with 2.6. I love my 2.4 boxes with Intel quad port/1gb PCI-X cards. The 3 sites I have on that platform are stable and performance is fine with 30k+ connections without even running multi-core licenses.

Hi Guys,

I am facing the same problem with my Smart Center server. We have multiple firewall clusters at our datacenter all are Check Point appliance based. We are managing them through single Smart Center server. The problem is my Smart Center server very often loose it’s connectivity with Gateways; it can be seen from the Smart View Monitor it shows the Gateway status disconnected & it’s take lots of time to reestablish connectivity back. For that time period we can’t push the policy into the Firewall if we do that we get the TCP connectivity error.

I have This is Check Point SecurePlatform NGX (R62) Build 109.

Same problem for me on SPLAT 2.6 R65 HFA50. I can see only one gateway of my cluster being connected then disconnected. I think it's a smartview bug because the fw module still working without any problem, logs are correctly retrieve on the management console.

I read the R65 HF60 release note and it seems that this HFA can fix this problem :

"SmartView Monitor provides improved gateway status information,
fixing scenarios where the information could not be retrieved, due to
enhanced communications between server and gateway."

But I'm not able to download it from usercenter I have an error when I try to download it.

Does anyone already install this HFA60? Is it available from usercenter?

HFA_60 is not available to the General public YET :-(.

Hello,

The R65 HFA60 is now available in the usercenter. I will try to install it on the management console and then on the FW module.

I will let you know if this HFA solve the problem.
